走马看花。悉尼

刚从英国回来还没到48小时，就已经跟十多个人叙述我第一次见 HRH Queen Elizabeth II （英国君主。伊丽莎白二世）的经验。6月11日 Trooping The Colour，上百万个人从世界各角落纷纷都聚在 Buckingham Palace 等待 The Queen 的出现。有这么难得的一个 One in a Million 机会见到她本人想必也是小女这辈子最荣幸的经验。

英国的精彩篇，留给下回好了。

先草率分享我在悉尼的一些照片好了。

由于在悉尼大部份时间都是在公干着，私人时间十分少，吃饭逛街也是跟着大伙们一同出门，东拍西拍也会觉得比较不好意思。虽然在澳洲念书的时候曾经到过许多个大大小小的地方。可是悉尼唷，在下还是第一次去呐 （糗～）。

去之前，我对悉尼的印象还可以，就花绿绿、凌朗满目、热热闹闹的城市，跟一般的大城市也应该没什么两样。去了之后，我发现自己对悉尼的印象就真的跟我想像的一模一样。人多的地方，自然好热闹，Food & Shopping Varieties 又多，只可惜 Customer Service 及 Hospitality 欠佳了一点。我比较喜欢亚洲城市的服务态度。

不上班的时候，我总是吃得特别多，尤其是甜品。

悉尼工作短旅怎么忙都改抽出时间来观光景点 － Circular Quay。

Sydney Opera House 就在这里附近。

去的时候，刚好遇到 Sydney Vivid Light, Music & Ideas Festivals。晚上的时候，Circular Quay

 附近几乎每一座建筑物（包括 Opera House）都亮起五颜六色，夜景十分漂亮。

在悉尼，真的没工开的时间就是吃，还有吃。

悉尼短旅就这样。

英国的旅游还是比较棒咯，希望短时间内可以再分享下。

River Festival Firework Show

Like many famous rivers in the world (Yangtze, Huanghe, Nile, Mekong etc), our much smaller scale Fitzroy river has its time for celebration as well!

River Festival is one of the biggest events in this town, with hundreds of people gathered overnight to witness the firework explodes into the river scene.

We are extremely lucky that we don't have to fight with the hundreds to catch a glimpse of the show.

It happens to fire right in front of our balcony! 

Thanks to the hotel (below us) for sponsoring the event, we are privileged to have been able to enjoy this spectacular firework show in the comfort of our home ^^

Living aboard a boat

Many people that I know of in Australia enjoy living on the river.
And they live on the river forever...

Not entirely sure how they manage living on the boat, being rocked to sleep by constant gentle waves then waking up in the morning to multiple midge bites... but they still live on the river forever!

It is amazing how people manoeuvre around such tiny little space on the boat AND living everyday with so limited power supply and water to consume. It is beyond my imagination!

I think it requires a lot of adjustment and patience, certainly not the kind of lifestyle I am chasing after.

一处风景

是什么时候偷偷爱上从高处往下拍的风景呢？

站在高高的地方常常会让我觉得很放松⋯⋯ 很自由⋯⋯ 很豁达⋯⋯ 

我们生活上有时候也可以尝试心胸开阔，凡事乐观一点，尽量把美好的东西像看风景一样放大来看，把平凡过成幸福，这样做人也许会开心一点 ^____^

PS： 澳洲的风景还不赖嘛？

The Coast

YESSS...! I live near the coast but I hardly spend time at the beach or at the marina...

Every summer we get plenty of breeze and plenty of flood...

Beauty after the rough tide...

The one who got left behind got chased by the camera...

But I love this place a lot because... this is where I met Alex =)

This is where our love begins and where we begin our home...

This may not be the place we want to spend our forever at but we cherish our time here together...

Panorama

When I look at these pictures in my inventory, they make me miss the panoramic places in Adelaide and Melbourne unbearably. Adelaide was where I originally came from and where the early life of my career began. Melbourne used to be a popular spot for summer and winter holidays. Between these two states, there are many country towns with spectacular scenery.

Surf the sand dunes of Little Sahara on Kangaroo Island, 112km southwest of Adelaide.

The city of Melbourne.

The Twelve Apostles, a collection of limestone stacks by the Great Ocean Road, Victoria.

Phillip island, 140km southeast of Melbourne.

Rosebud, 75km southeast of Melbourne.

The Blue Lake in Mount Gambier, 450km from the capital Adelaide.

Renmark, Riverland, 254km northeast of Adelaide.

Port Adelaide, 14km from the city of Adelaide.

The Australia's oldest surviving German settlement, Hahndorf, 28km southeast of Adelaide.

South Terrace of Adelaide leading to universities, where I used to walk to attend lectures everyday.

Adelaide and Melbourne reminded me of the good times our friends spent together during university years. Although we are now scattered afar and asunder, if you are reading this, I hope you know that I miss you all very much. 

With special mention of vivian-jiuan, suh-ying, pek-sim, pei-wen, rocan, jeff, julie, a-bi, alicia-chyi and ken.

Deserted City of Canberra

Canberra is the capital city of Australia. It is a very quiet city designed for the politicians and bureaucrats certainly not for you and me who prefer the more vibrant atmosphere.

So deserted were the streets I could hear my own breath.

So creepy was the hotel suite room I wish I hadn't been upgraded. 

Throughout the night, I kept hearing my own echos and the unfamiliar squeaky noise from the next room. This place is definitely not for me.

I was searching for food on street at 5pm in the evening.

"Hello... anybody home?"

Most shops closed at 5pm. I walked for a good half an hour before I found a grungy Japanese takeaway. I knew I shouldn't have come here alone.

Nevertheless, I got to see Parliament house and witnessed the senate meeting.
Unfortunately camera is not allowed within.
