Pink this October

Pink this October for Pink Ribbon Day.
Today we teamed up to wear pink to show our endless support to those affected by breast cancer and to raise awareness about early detection of breast cancer among women across the whole Australia.

Today is the first day of our ecstatically wondrous Pink Ribbon week.
It feels good to be part of the pinky team...

We are lucky to have so many pretty staff at our work place (many more are not in these pictures) and this lovely bunch of people always wear a great smile to work. No wonder the customers are always happy to be here... ^__^

Sushi treat from my patient

One of my very regular patients happens to own a sushi shop not far from where I work...
He is very health conscious man and he comes in for advices every now and then...
And when he does come in he brings me very nice sushi for afternoon tea...
He is a thoughtful man sometimes I feel embarrassed to even accept his generosity.

Falling in love with purple Spring

Purple colour reminds me of my very best friend back in uni time...
She likes purple and I didn't think purple can be this charming until I get this old...
I think I am falling in love with purple Spring...

Deserted City of Canberra

Canberra is the capital city of Australia. It is a very quiet city designed for the politicians and bureaucrats certainly not for you and me who prefer the more vibrant atmosphere.

So deserted were the streets I could hear my own breath.

So creepy was the hotel suite room I wish I hadn't been upgraded. 

Throughout the night, I kept hearing my own echos and the unfamiliar squeaky noise from the next room. This place is definitely not for me.

I was searching for food on street at 5pm in the evening.

"Hello... anybody home?"

Most shops closed at 5pm. I walked for a good half an hour before I found a grungy Japanese takeaway. I knew I shouldn't have come here alone.

Nevertheless, I got to see Parliament house and witnessed the senate meeting.
Unfortunately camera is not allowed within.

Living in Hong Kong

Yun Fu: Lan Kwai Fong

This restaurant is a hidden treasure.

It may look a little creepy at your first visit but you will soon learn that all designs and decors possess a strong Tibetan influence and are done to its perfection. The foods and table service are truly magnificent. You don't even need to bend over to pour yourself a cup of tea. 

Owned by the renowned Aqua HK group, Yun Fu is another tourist hotspot for those who seek a unique dining experience at a Northern and Western Chinese setting.

We have been back for second time now.

Let me show you why.

Lantern-festooned corridors



Looking at these bottles we thought we were going to be served the Chinese snake wine.
In fact, they were the restaurant's special blended Chinese tea.
The one we had (Hua Tuo) was named after an ancient Chinese physician during the late Han dynasty.

The white lotus pancake is one of the best we have ever had...

Have fun growing!

So did you guess what is it?
Yes... we are growing our own lettuces at the patio!
This type of lettuce is called mixed salad leaves.



We enjoy leafy salad every night so one day Alex suggested to grow it ourselves.
And Spring just fits in perfectly in time to grow lettuces in the garden.

Togetherness

Mum and dad are coming over in another 2 weeks.

I have been busy cleaning up the mess at home... you know... to impress my two loving parents!

In the midst of excitement I am also upset about having to separate with Alex for a good 2 weeks.

I know I won't be lonely but I will miss him like mad......

I can't even survive without him for more than a day... geez!

It feels good when I know he is around me even though he may not be eating or playing with me.

He likes his online games and I just have a habit of watching him playing from a distance.

Hearing him talking, laughing and snoring is just one of those things I enjoy watching and listening.

So to accompany him doing things that he likes, I too hook on my imac to do my blogging.

And I blog about him and I.

The fact that his computer desk is back to back to mine means that I don't get to see his face much when he talks or laughs. Hence I put a picture of us in front of my imac to remind me of his loving and cheeky expressions! Occasionally he pauses his game to pay me a visit. Sometimes he leaves me an endearing note on my desktop to remind me of his existence and to dispel my ignorance.

All these little things form a big part of our living together.
Our togetherness forms a blissful future.
I am missing him already......
