It is only a week apart. We are already back to Tsuruya for another dining experience.
As usual, we sat at the sushi bar and ordered two sets of sushi for lunch.
This time we had a close encounter with the sushi master.
His name is Aoki.
He is a stern man. Not much talking or smiling.
But his sushi technique is phenomenal.
As we helped ourselves to the sushi, Alex started a conversation with Master Aoki.
We didn't realise how friendly he is until he started to speak to us.
He looked so bubbly and cheerful as he described the Japanese culture and his eating experiences to us. And he even gave us a complimentary plate of wagyu beef sushi. We were really lucky. And I think he liked us.

Master Aoki is not only an experienced sushi chef but also a trained and licensed chef who can prepare and serve puffer fish. How cool is that?
These scallops were imported from Hokkaido.
They were really sweet and creamy. They are crazily huge too! Twice the size of my thumb!
Sometimes you may catch a memorable sight at the window seat.
Like us, we saw two Sarus cranes today. Amazing huh?
Zooming in...
