The classic decor is an absolute, absolute delight! And as soon as you enter in the restaurant, you will instantly feel the good efficient service from the wait staff.
By the time we arrived there at about 8pm, the restaurant was already packed with expatriates.
Although the menu still offers plenty of good selections of Chinese dishes such as Peking duck etc, but all in all, these dishes are catering for the Western palates. As much as I enjoy the 1930-ish colonial atmosphere and the ever accommodating service, the food turned out only mediocre in my opinion =(
And I felt rather awkward taking pictures in the restaurant too!
Look, from the teapot set to the counter unit, even the smallest thing in the restaurant is made so chic and pleasant to look at!
Sorry I didn't manage to take many pictures to depict how the interior looks like to you, but I hope these couple of pictures will give you some ideas on how it looks like.

#1 Frog legs!
#2 Scallops wrapped in taro batter - very generous size of scallops! I remember this was one of Alex's favourite dishes!
#3 Steamed chicken with mushroom and Yunnan ham - I think this is the best dish among the three dishes we ordered that night. I wasn't too keen on eating fried or oily food that night.
Hmmm... all in all, I think this restaurant is worth 3.5 out of 5.
I still think that the restaurant is missing some Chinese touch and I think it has a lot to do with it being located at a ritzy mall in Central (where all the expats and business people around).
I will show you in my next post what I call my best restaurant in Hong Kong.
I have been there year after year and still think that it is my best restaurant - will show you soon.
